Genesis video unrolls biblical creation tapestry

The Genesis video series divides the Bible’s first book into 18 brief sections, making it a flexible tool for teaching and discipleship, discussion groups or evangelism.

Each section lasts 14 to 20 minutes for a total series length of 5 hours, 20 minutes. After viewing an episode, a teacher can interact with the audience by leading a discussion about the episode or by asking or answering questions.

Filmed on location in Israel by Visual Bible International, the Genesis video can also be used to teach historical and cultural information about life in Bible times.

The sections covering the book’s first 11 chapters combine several types of visuals that may not be suitable or understandable for some audiences. All other sections use live acting, which have been well received by diverse audiences.

An audio version of the series can be produced for indigenous people groups by inserting audio bridges between dialogues. The audio version can be economically reproduced and distributed on CD, or radio as a supplement to the video. This can reinforce the message, increase distribution, aid literacy classes, Bible studies and discipleship.
